Winnifred Lee "Winnie" Long, 86, of Lubbock, was born July 20,1936 in Brunswick, Georgia to William Cecil Shaw & Roxie Aline Vandigriff-Shaw.  She was an investment manager at Texas Tech University for 23 years. She married Homer Long April 1, 1969 in Savannah, Georgia.  Winnie enjoyed fishing, reading, and crocheting.  She loved her family and her dogs, Miss Sassy & Mr. T.

Winnie went to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 3, 2022.  Her parents, a brother: John Shaw, & a sister: Gery Flanders all preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 53 years: Homer Long, her son: Chuck Long, niece: Karen Shepard and husband Keith, 3 nephews: Kent, Keith, & Kevin Smith.

Memorial services will be 2:00pm Monday October 10, 2022 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with Chaplain Eric Chapman of Interim Hospice officiating.   Services and cremation are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
