William "Bill" Lowell West, 87, of Wolfforth was born February 4, 1924 in Holbrook, Arizona to Elzie Hardy West & Amy Druscilla (Hickman) West. He farmed for 30 years and worked for the Highway Department for 10 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII. He was married to Gwenny Jean Hodges for 25 years before her passing on Oct. 31, 1983. He later married Gladys Beck in Lubbock.

Bill passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011. His brother: Richard Eugene West preceded him in death Jan. 12, 1988.

He is survived by his wife: Gladys West of Wolfforth, his son: John Hardy West of Ropesville, his daughter: Amy McNabb & her husband, Scott of Busterville, TX; his sister Evelyn Clair Branch of Mesquite; 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm on Sunday at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel. Celebration of life services will be at 10:00am Monday, March 7, 2011 in the same chapel. Entombment will be in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery.
