Donald "Wayne" Kemp, 86, of Wolfforth, TX was born September 17, 1937, in Era, Texas to Eugene & Vessie (Pierson) Kemp.  He was in the carpet business for several years.  He married Lois Fay Clay January 7, 1956, in Abernathy, TX.  She passed away February 29, 2004, after 48 years of marriage.  Wayne enjoyed fishing and coaching little league baseball & football.  He never met a stranger and was liked by all that met him.

Wayne went to be with his loving God, Thursday, May 30, 2024.  His wife Lois, son: Bobby Lee Kemp, his parents, 3 brothers: Troy, Eugene, and Porter Kemp, 4 sisters: Mary Jo Kemp, Toy Wanda Hollman, Linda Cozart, & Imogene DeBoard, and 1 brother-in-law: Elbert "Red" Miers are all waiting for him at Heaven's gate.

Those left to cherish his memories are his 2 sons: Kenneth Kemp & wife Karen, James Kemp & wife Renee, brother: Robert Kemp & wife Debbie, sister-in-law: Pearl Miers, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren who they all affectionately called Papaw Wayne along with numerous nieces, nephews & friends.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 am, June 3, 2024 at the Abernathy Cemetery with Pastor Joel Perez officiating.  Services are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth, TX.
