Wanda "Rags" Jane Richerson, 70, of Lubbock was born October 25, 1951 in Lubbock.  She graduated from Levelland High School where she played the flute in the band and was a twirler. She then went to Texas Tech where she received a bachelor's degree in Art.  She was a fun loving, free spirited person who was the neighborhood mom.  She enjoyed going to Ruidoso to see the mountains and gamble.  She married Jerry Wilcox, and later married Carey Don Richerson.  She loved all kids, art, fishing, and her pets.  She worked as a hairdresser for 20 years.

Rags went to be with the Lord, Friday March 4, 2022.  Her daughter: Crystal Kay Wilcox, and her husband: Carey Don Richerson both preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 3 children: Jeremy Wilcox, Amanda Marie Richerson, & Carrie Lynn Richerson, 4 grandchildren: Elayna, Caydon, Mason, & Braelynn.

Memorial services will be at 5:00pm on Sunday, March 20, 2022 outside at the Buddy Holly Park in Lubbock with Pastor Brian Townsend of Come as You are Fellowship Church officiating.  Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the Autism or Down Syndrome Foundation.
