Wanda Byers, 81, of Lubbock was born March 20, 1940 in Paris, Tx to C.D. Gunter & Evalina (Beard) Gunter.  She married Larry Byers June 21,1968 in McAllen, TX.  Wanda enjoyed being with her grandchildren, cooking, and playing cards.  She was a big Elvis and Waylon Jennings fan along with country music, the Dallas Cowboys, & Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Wanda went to be with the Lord Friday, January 21, 2022.  She is preceded in death by her parents: C.D. Gunter & Evalina (Beard) Gunter and her daughter: Melissa Wilkinson .

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 53 years: Larry Byers, 3 children: Hal Douglas Byers & wife Jonna of Lubbock, Laurie Jeanne Morrow & husband Brad of New Braunfels, and Jennifer Harcrow & husband Randy of Lubbock, 18 grandchildren: Alicia, Amanda, Angela, Blake W., Brenna, Jaci, Jaden, Jordan, Krista, Blake M., Tyer D., Kayleigh, Julianne, Shaelynn, Brooklyn, Brailee, Brody, and Brenleigh, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters: Margie Hong, & Peggy Cline, along with several nieces & nephews.

Memorial service will be at 2:00pm Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with Gary Stevenson officiating.  Services & cremation are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
