Vicki Lanette Sorensen, 52, of Lubbock, was born July 13, 1960, in Tulia, TX, to Clarence Mansell & Merlene Reed Mansell. She graduated from Frenship High School in 1979. Vicki married Chuck Sorensen January 12, 1985. She loved to read, spend time with family and friends, travel, go camping, and socialize. She worked for the Lubbock State School for 27 years.

Vicki passed away Friday, September 21, 2012.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Chuck, daughter Kendra, mother Merlene Lash, two brothers: Rick Mansell and Mike Mansell, sister LeAnn Estes, step-children: Jarrod, Kimmber, Jill, and Mandy, grandchildren: Nicolas, Meaghan, Rachel, nephews and nieces: DeLana, Chad, Ryan, Whitney, and Marley, and many loved ones and friends.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, at Wilson's Funeral Chapel with Jim Bales officiating.

We gather to remember our daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, co-worker and grandmother, Vicki Lanette Sorensen. Though we come in great sorrow and loss, we also know that life is about celebrations, too. And today we want to continue to celebrate Vicki's life by creating a legacy fund for her newest grandchild, Rachel. We invite you to contribute to this memorial so at age 21, when Rachel sets out on her own life's endeavors, it will be with the help and benevolence of those that meant the most to her, and from the grandmother she was only able to embrace and cherish for a little time.
