Sondra Sue McQueen, 67, of Lubbock and formerly of Amarillo, was born October 14, 1957 in Memphis, TX to Lloyd Elem and Dorothy (Graham) Elem.  She worked at Insurance Management Services in Amarillo for 40 years.  She married Mark McQueen August 5, 1978 in Memphis, TX.  He passed away December 13, 2020. Sondra was a Baptist.  She enjoyed reading, watching Hallmark movies, and her fur babies: Joansie, Yoda, & Sassy.  She moved to Lubbock from Amarillo in 2022.

Sondra went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 19, 2025.  Her mom, dad, husband, daughter: Chelsea McQueen (5-19-2020), son: Jacob  McQueen (10-26-2022), & sister: Barbara Cofer (2-16-2012) were all waiting for her at Heaven's gate.

Those left to cherish her memories are her sister: Toni Baker & husband Chuck of Lubbock, her brother: Jodie Elem & wife Barbara of Colorado Springs, TX, 2 grandchildren: Jude & Kaydance Gillenwater of Springer, OK, her brother-in-law: Johnny Mack Cofer, her niece: Maci Baker, along with her 5 nephews: Chase Baker, Jeff Elem, Steven Elem, Jamie Cofer & Johnny Mack Cofer. Brother in Law Max McQueen & Sister in Law Stacey McQueen and their children Creede & Gavin McQueen.

Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.  No services are planned at this time.
