Sandra Kay Rogers, 71, of Lubbock, Amarillo and formerly of Abilene, was born August 1, 1945 in Abilene, TX to Frank Skinner and Mattie (Horton) Skinner. She married Billie Joe Rogers August 2, 1991 in Plainview. He passed away August 25, 2006. She loved being a mom and "G.G" and "Gummies". She enjoyed bingo, going to the casinos and playing games on her I-Pad. She was talented with crafts and making jewelry.
Kay went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 4, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents: Frank Skinner, Mattie Ruth and O.H. "Slim" Venable, her husband: Bill Rogers, and 2 sons: Hollis Reid Simmons and Rodney Stubbs.
Those left to cherish her memories are 3 daughters: Michealle and husband Dr. Kevin Stennett of Lockney, Cynthia and husband Larry Francis of Newalla, OK, and Donna and husband Robby Christopher of Lubbock; 3 sons: Eddie Black & wife Valerie of Holbert, OK, Darrin Black of Abilene, and Jerry Simmons of Lubbock; 19 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Jerry Cochran and wife Sharon, and Billy Venable and wife Esther all of El Paso.
