Ruby Louise Dorsett, 75, of Lubbock was born Nov. 11, 1933 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Lindsey Hugh and Ruby Estelle (Lybrand) Williamson. She met the love of her life Larry E. Dorsett while singing gospel music in her family's Williamsons' All Girls Quartet. They married Nov. 10, 1948 in Buchanan, Georgia. She was a member of Trinity Church and was once a member of Lubbock's Path Finders Quartet. She was very devoted to her family.

Louise passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 at her home.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Larry Dorsett, her children: Tommy and wife Marsha Dorsett, Frankie Dorsett, Beverly and husband Carl Dawson, Terry Dorsett and Sandy Mallory all of Lubbock; 14 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren; 2 sisters: Eva Lee Bentley of Lubbock and Charlotte Hammond of Ft. Stockton.

Viewing will be Friday from 9am to 5pm at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel.
