Ronnie Lee Payne, 66, of Wolfforth, was born December 30, 1944 in Floydada to Winfred & Wilma (Dunn) Payne. He married Betty Graston May 7, 1968 in Wolfforth. He was a lineman for SPEC and the Chief Fireman for 15 years in Wolfforth.

Ronnie went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 29, 2011 at Covenant Medical Center.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years: Betty Payne of Wolfforth; 4 children: Shannon Payne of Wolfforth, Tammy Thomason of Lubbock, Rhonda Thomason of Keller, and Holly Taylor of Wolfforth; his brother: Randy & wife Judy Payne of Floydada; his sister: Lynette & husband Wayne Crump of Ralls; 6 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; Uncle C.J. Payne & Uncle Deen Braly both of Kingsland; 2 nieces & numerous family & friends.

Viewing will begin on Sunday from 12 noon to service time at 2:00pm July 31, 2011 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel with Mike McCreight officiating. Entombment will follow at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.
