Ronald Lee Propst, 73, of Smyer, TX was born November 30, 1952 in Lubbock, Tx.  He graduated from Lubbock High School and received a Music Composition Degree from Texas Tech.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and played in the Army Band.

Ronald went to be with the Lord Thursday January 1, 2026. He is preceded in death by his brother: Rodney Propst.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother: Sue Bell Propst, 3 daughters: Ariel Purkeypile & husband Jake of Smyer, Zephyr DeGrote & husband Paul of Austin, and Zenyth Propst & wife Sara of Little Rock, Arkansas, 5 grandchildren: Vincent Purkeypile & partner Jeff Shirey, Jasper Purkeypile, Felix Purkeypile, Hugo DeGrote, & Sybil DeGrote.

Burial will be at the Smyer Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth, TX.  A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
