Roger Q. Pierce, III, 81, of Lubbock was born August 27, 1940 in Lubbock to Roger Q Pierce, Jr. & Alma (Brown) Pierce.  Roger graduated from Monterey High School. He was a member of the National Guard.  Roger married Rita Johnson July 31,1965 in Lubbock.  He retired from Lubbock Electric after 47 years.  Roger was a member of the Classic Car Club and a member of Sunset Church of Christ.  He was a proud owner of a 1967 Plymouth Satellite.

Roger went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 18, 2022. His parents and his daughter, Telena Mann preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 56 years: Rita Pierce, his daughter, Kara & husband Bob Boyd, a sister: Joanne James of Houston, 5 grandchildren: Missy, Scott, Kayla, Kolton, & Brogan, and 3 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life gathering will be from 4 to 6pm Friday, January 21, 2022 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.  Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
