Rocky Ray Sykes, 52, of Odessa was born July 29, 1961 in Idalou, TX. He enjoyed being with family and loved his nieces and nephews. Rocky left this world on Friday, January 31, 2014. His father, Hershel Sykes preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother: Patricia (Boman) Procter and husband Travis of Ranger, Tx; his brother: Denis Procter and wife Amanda of Lubbock, 4 sisters: Patsy Sykes of Odessa, and Teresa Miller & husband Ron of Lubbock, Kathy & Debbie Sykes of Oregon; 6 maternal uncles: Sonny, Robert & wife Beverly, Richard & wife Patty, David & wife Glynda, Rodger & wife Louise, & Larry & wife Barbara Boman; and 3 Aunts: Bessie Purdy, Helen & husband David Hoover, and Nerissa & husband Paul Farris and a host of cousins, friends & extended family.

Viewing will be from 12:00pm to 5:00pm Thursday Feb. 6, 2014 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Viewing will begin at 12:00pm Friday at the West Texas Church at the Barn at 8322 CR 6500 in Lubbock with services starting at 2:00pm Friday February 7, 2014 at the same church with Ted Currington officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
