Roberto Ponce, 56, of Ropesville was born October 25,1960 in Brownfield to Manuel and Elosia (Ruiz) Ponce. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing pool, and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Roberto worked for the city of Ropesville, was a volunteer firefighter and worked in the cotton farming industry.

Roberto went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 15, 2016.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Manuel & Elosia Ponce of Ropesville; his son; Robert Ray Ponce & fiancé, Cynthia Marie Solis of Smyer: 6 Grandchildren: Veronique Nikkole, Robert Ray Jr., Emmanuel, Eli Patrick, Elida Claudia, and Adrian Ray; 6 Siblings: Gavino & wife Juanita Ponce of Ropesville, Maryann & husband Albert Martinez of Smyer, Leonel Ponce of Littlefield, Manuel Ponce, Jr. of Austin, Sonia Ponce of Canyon, and David Ponce & wife Laura of Amarillo; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viewing will begin at 1:00pm Saturday, Sunday, & Monday at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. The Rosary will be at 7:00pm Monday, December 19, 2016 in the same chapel. Mass will be at 10:30am Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Francis of the Assisi Catholic Church in Wolfforth. Burial will follow at Ropesville Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
