Randall Louis Pursell, 63, of Lubbock was born September 4, 1946 in Floydada, TX to Travis W. "Shorty" and Claudene (Terrell) Pursell. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1965 and attended Texas Tech.
He was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1966. He served in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969 and received the Bronze Star-V Device (Valor). He was a licensed plumber for 35 years. He also worked as a plumbing inspector for the City of Lubbock.
Randy married Cheryl Anglin April 23, 1981 in Lubbock. He was an avid fisherman.
Randy passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Cheryl of Lubbock, his children: Tracey O'Neal, of Lubbock, Teri Lee (John) Slaughter, and Travis Randall (Kamie) Pursell; his brother: Jon Wesley Pursell; 2 sisters: Donna (Terry) Davis and Carol (Bob) Forrester; 7 grandchildren and one on the way, a nephew, cousins & friends.
Celebration of life services with Military Honors will be at 10:00am Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Osborne officiating. Viewing will take place at the church.
Arrangement and cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
