Pete "Popo" Moreno, Jr., 63, of Lubbock was born June 6, 1957 in Lubbock to Pedro Moreno, Sr. & Agnes (Berlanga) Moreno.  He married Janie Hernandez June 16, 1975 in Lubbock, TX.

He was self-employed in structural steel detailing.   He had worked in the past at M&W Drafting & Lubbock Drafting Services.  Pete was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.  He enjoyed cooking and being with his family.  He loved watching and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He enjoyed watching Texas Tech & the Dallas Cowboys football games.

Pete went to be with the Lord Monday, November 2, 2020.  His parents and twin grandsons, Jacob & Scout preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 46 years: Janie Moreno, his son: Timmy & wife Amy Moreno of Ft. Worth, his daughter: Monica Louise & husband Gary Joiner of Lubbock, 6 grandchildren: Paxton, Piper, Libby, Marquise, Ravaughn, Giavonni, & Zavier, 2 great-grandchildren: Kaiden & Elliana, his brother: Ramiro & wife Teresa Moreno, his sister: Norma Gonzales, 2 nieces, 1 nephew & 6 great-nieces.

Services for Pete will be 12:00pm Monday, November 16, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lubbock.  Entombment was in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
