Pauline P. Martinez, 83 of Lubbock was born November 4, 1937 in Lamesa to Simone G. Pena & Aurora (Apolinar) Pena.  She married Eduardo "Edward" Martinez January 30,1955 in Floresville, TX.  He passed away October 4, 2013.  She worked at Western Laundry for 3 years.  Later she worked in the cafeteria at Cooper High School for 13 years and at Texas Tech for 8 years.  Pauline enjoyed gardening and her tv programs.  Her faith shined through the power of prayer & uplifting gospel hymns.

Pauline went to be with the Lord Friday, July 16, 2021.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 children: Irma Richey & Benny Martinez, and her sister: Aurora Estrada.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 5 children: Leticia & husband Jeff Avera, Edward Martinez, Jr. & wife Elizabeth, Elisa & husband Sammy Sherman, Edwina & husband Noel Medrano, and Pastor George Martinez & wife Nicole; 14 grandchildren: Anthony, Jennifer, Esrial, Nicole, J.D., Jordan, Desirae, Maranda, Reagan, Christopher, Alexus, Briana, Alida, & Madeline, 3 great-grandchildren: Chloe, Mario, & Hanna, 2 sisters: Rosa Velasquez & Mary Ellen, 2 brothers: Simone & Ruben Pena, along with several nephews & nieces.

Viewing will be from 5:30pm to 7:30pm Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel. Services will be at 9:00am Wednesday July 21, 2021 in the same chapel with Pastor George Martinez officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
