Paula H. Hernandez, 81, of Lubbock, was born April 20, 1927 in Crestonio, Texas to Tirso and Severina (Marquez) Hernandez. She married Gregorio Hernandez Sept. 13, 1948. He passed away in 1975.

Paula passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009. Her son George Hernandez and a sister Maria Garcia preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children: Pamela Hernandez of Ft. Worth, Mary Contreras, Benito, David, Joe, and Mike all of Lubbock, Linda Ybarra of Dallas, Monzy & Gregorio Hernandez, Jr. both of Lubbock, Diana Myers of Ohio, Sammy of Lubbock, Lee of Idalou, Johnny of Austin & Jimmy of Lubbock. 3 Brothers: Nicholas of Laredo, Vidal of Zapada, and Hijinio of Dallas; 2 Sisters: Josefina Cedillo of Hebbronville, TX and Santos Gonzales of Springfield, Ohio; 39 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will begin Monday at 11:00am. The Rosary will be at 7pm Monday at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Mass will be at 10:00am Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors.
