Norma Sue Hoyle, 80, of Wolfforth was born February 28, 1936 in Saint Jo, Texas to E.P. and Verda Mae (Embry) Boyd. She married Joe Bob Hoyle March 6, 1955 in Yuma, Arizona. He passed away July 14, 2005 after 50 years of marriage. She worked at the Wolfforth ABC Bank, being the first teller in the drive through. She also worked at Lubbock's Citi Corp. She enjoyed singing and was active at Wolfforth's First United Methodist Church. She loved being with her family and she was always taking care of others. Norma Sue also enjoyed gardening.
Norma Sue went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 18, 2016. Her parents, husband and two siblings preceded her in death: Mary Margaret Boyd and Bobby Boyd.
Those left to cherish her memories are her 3 daughters: Kelley & husband Tim Vaughn of Wolfforth, Kristi & husband Mike Massie of Harvest, Alabama, and Karla and husband Chris Brown of Lubbock; 6 grandchildren: Toni, Casey, Aaron, Shae, Cheyenne, and Katrina; 5 great-grandchildren: Nolan, Logan, Braxton, Seth, and Ben; and 2 Brothers: Herbert Boyd of Lorenzo and Wayne Boyd of Tyler.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8pm Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Services will be at 11:00am Friday, April 22, 2016 at Wolfforth's First United Methodist Church with Pastor Rich Jones officiating. Burial will be at the Wolfforth Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Director of Wolfforth.
