Nicolas "Nick" Tello, Jr. 49, of Lubbock was born June 20, 1973 in Brownfield, TX to Nicolas Tello, Sr. & Maria DeJesus (Tapia) Chavez. Nick graduated from Frenship High School and attended Texas Tech. He married Yolanda Jimenez April 27, 2007 in Lubbock, TX. He enjoyed traveling. Nick went to Germany, Las Vegas, & New York. He also liked watching old movies, shooting pool & BBQing. He enjoyed his family & long drives with his daughter, Leia. He was a big fan of Batman, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, & fantasy football. Nick was a wonderful friend & funny jokester.

Nick went to be with the Lord Friday, May 5, 2023.  Those waiting for him at Heaven's gate are his father: Nicolas Tello, Sr., his mother: Maria DeJesus Chavez & 4 siblings: Hope Tello, Valentino Chavez, Joey Chavez, & Joe Hernandez.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 18 years: Yolanda Tello, 4 daughters: Blanca Castillo & husband Anthony, Leia Tello, AraBella Tello, & Shelly Villarreal, 1 granddaughter & 2 grandsons, 6 siblings: Bertha Hernandez, Christina Chavez, Susana Hernandez & husband Daniel, Tina Villarreal, Teodora Chavez & Paula Chavez, several nieces & nephews, including Adam Tino Chavez & Alex Benavides, his 2 best friends: Fidel Jimenez & wife Nicole Zeiher, & Alexis Sistos, along with his (Son) dog, Jingo.

The family will greet friends from 2:00pm to 5:00pm Monday, May 8, 2023 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.  Services will be at 11:00am Tuesday in the same chapel.  Burial will follow at the Wolfforth Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
