Mona Elaine Sherrill, 75, of Lakeland, Florida and formerly of Lubbock, Tx was born April 29, 1950 in Grants, NM to Pete Vann and Frances (Biddy) Vann.  She married Tommy Ray Sherrill April 6, 1970 in Clovis, NM.  He passed away December 23, 2011 after 42 years of marriage.  Mona worked in health care as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pediatric ICU and later worked in home health care.  She enjoyed reading, crafts and being with her family.

Mona went to be with the Lord Wednesday January 21, 2026 in Lakeland, FL.  Her parents: Pete & Frances Vann, her husband: Tom Sherrill, a brother: Mike Vann, and a sister: Karen Cuselich were all at Heaven's gate waiting for her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving daughter Tammy and husband Randall Gregory of Lakeland, FL., 2 grandsons: Keston Gregory & wife Stephanie of San Jose, CA, and Kendrick Gregory & wife Katy of Ft. Worth, TX, and a great-grandson on the way.

Services will be 1:00pm Saturday February 7, 2026 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth, Tx with Pastor Mike McCreight officiating.  Entombment will be in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth
