Edna Merlene Lash, 82, of Lubbock was born March 2, 1940 in Morton, TX to Rodger Franklin "Bill" Reed & Hazel Edith Spencer-Reed.  She married Gary Lash July 16, 1983.  He passed away February 12, 2010.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and her family.

Merlene went to be with the Lord Monday December 26, 2022.  Her parents, husband, daughter: Vicki Lanette Sorensen (9-21-2012), a brother: Leon Reed (1991), & a sister: Arlie Reed (2021) all were there to greet her on the other side.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 3 children: Richard Lee Mansell & wife Norene of Abilene, Michael Duane Mansell & wife Carla of Lubbock and Barbara LeAnn Estes & husband Johnny of Lubbock, 8 grandchildren: DeLana & Chad Byrd, Chad & Caitlin Frizzell, Ryan & Nancy Mansell, Whitney & Johnnathan Garry, Crystal & Shawn McDavid, Angela Estes, Jill & Rondall Green, Kendra & Tim Tarrant, 9 great-grandchildren: Marley, Wren, Piper, Christopher, Chance, Nick, Meaghan, Rachel & Leo, 1 great-great-granddaughter: Lavender, a son-in-law: Charles D. Sorensen, a sister: Peggy Pinson & a brother Raymond Reed both of White Oaks, NM.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30pm Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Lake Ridge Methodist Church, 4701 82nd St., Lubbock, Tx 79424 with Larry Gilliam officiating.  Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
