Melinda Hernandez, 40, of Ropesville was born August 9, 1971 in Ropesville to Adan and Petra (Martinez) Salas. She married Bobby Hernandez June 13, 1997 in Slaton. She worked as a waitress and loved music and dancing. She loved spending time with her family.

Melinda passed away, November 2, 2011 at her residence.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 14 years: Bobby Hernandez; 2 daughters: Audrey Cantu and Destiny Hernandez; 2 sons: Deiman and John Hernandez; 2 Grandkids: Fabian and Darian Pena; Mother Petra Salas of Ropesville; her Father: Adan Salas of Charcoal, TX; 4 brothers: Michael and Adam Salas both of Ropesville, Ray and Oscar Salas both of Richmond, TX; 4 Sisters: Esmeralda Salas of Ropesville, TX, Christina Rodriquez of Richmond, Melissa Escobedo of Ropesville, and Diane Salas of Needville, TX

Rosary will be at 7:00pm Thursday & Friday, November 3 & 4, 2011 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.

Viewing on Saturday will be at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wolfforth from 9:00am until the Mass begins at 2:00pm Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the same church.

Burial will follow at Ropesville Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
