Mattie "Kitsie" Myrle Hanks, 91, of Hobbs, NM, was born July 1, 1928 in Davis, Oklahoma to Bill and Maude (Ashton) Nation. She worked at Reeds specialty shop for over 20years. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She enjoyed collecting recipes and was very artistic. Kitsie was a member of the Church of Christ.

Kitsie went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 11, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Jack & William Nation and a sister: Wanda Nation.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son Jim Martin & wife Sherry of Waxahachie, TX; 2 grandchildren: Lesley & husband J.W. Armstrong and Greg Martin & his wife Aleyda; 2 great-granddaughters: Raegan and Schaeffer Armstrong, 2 great-grandsons: Christian & Dario Baez.

Services will be at 10:00am Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with Pastor Arnie Holmes officiating.
Entombment will be in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
