Mary Jo Lewis, 85, of Lubbock was born December 6, 1934 in San Angelo, TX to Gaston and Mamie (Edgington) Steadman.  She married Roy Lewis February 13, 1960.  He passed away February 3, 1998.  Mary Jo graduated from University of Arkansas & received her masters degree at Texas Tech University. She enjoyed Teaching & helped with Adult literacy.  She was a Tom Jones & Tom Selleck fan.

Mary Jo went to be with the Lord Tuesday November 3, 2020 in Gatesville, TX.  Her parents, her husband, & 4 siblings: Doris, Gerald, & Harold Steadman, & Nelda Jenkins all preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 2 daughters:  Rhonda & husband Donnie Vaught of Lubbock and Ramona & husband Herb Barrera of Carrollton, Tx. her son: David and wife Velma Lewis of Gatesville, Tx., 6 grandchildren, along with numerous nieces & nephews.

Viewing will be from 6 to 7pm Wednesday November 11, 2020 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.  Services will be at 11:00am Thursday November 12, 2020 at Agape United Methodist Church at 1215 Slide Rd in Lubbock with Larry Springer officiating.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth
