Mary Sue Hernandez, 60, of Lubbock was born July 16, 1950 in Acuff, TX to Juan and Consuelo (Pena) Hernandez. She went to Roosevelt High School where she enjoyed playing basketball. She worked in Custodial Services at Texas Tech University for 10 years.

Mary Sue went to be with the Lord Monday, August 23, 2010.

Her mother: Consuelo Hernandez & her first born son: Richard Hernandez preceded her in death & greeted her at Heaven's gate.

Those left to cherish her memories are her father: Juan Hernandez of Idalou; 3 Children: Rachel & husband Jesse Enriquez of Wolfforth, Rene & John Garcia both of Lubbock; 3 Sisters: Nita Vasquez of Lubbock, Isabel & her husband Henry of Idalou, Janie & her husband Pete of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren: Tiffanie, Roy, Jr., Troy, Yessenia, Mindy, Jesse Jr., Blanca, Rene, J.J., Leila, Rihanna Bell, Destin, Destiny; 8 Great-Grandchildren: Zadrian, Nevaeh, Joshlyn, Neriah, Meah, Rene, Amriss, Meshae.

Rosary will be held Monday at 7pm at Rachel's home. Memorial services along with her son's services will be 10:00am Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Andres Mendoza officiating. Her Entombment will follow at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery in Wolfforth, beside her mother (Richard's grandmother): Consuelo Hernandez who passed away April 4, 2003.
