Maria Salas Villarreal, 79, of Ropesville was born January 14, 1937 in Gillett, Texas to Sesario Salas & Eloisa (Reyna) Salas. She married Joe Villarreal May 1, 1956 in Karnes City, TX. He passed away Oct. 29, 2014. Maria worked in nursing care for several years. She enjoyed her family, gardening, and soap operas.

Maria went to be with Lord Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Joe Salas Villarreal, Jr. & wife Rosie, Rosario & husband Scott Rotramel all of Levelland, Estevan & Victor Villarreal both of Ropesville; 4 brothers: Antonio & wife Anita Salas of Levelland, Jose Roy Salas & wife Elsa, Edwardo & wife Maria Salas all of Ropesville, & Sesario Salas, Jr. of Kennedy; 5 Sisters: Hortencia Salas Ochoa & husband Fareman, & Sylvia Sanchez both of Ropesville, Margie Grimaldo, Lucy & husband Abraham Chavez, & Robbie Salas all of Lubbock; 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth & Evelyn Dominguez, Gabriel Villarreal, Ira Ratramel, Renee Cervantez, Joshua & Natally Villarrreal; 7 great-grandchildren: Ashpen & Alexis Sanchez, Jason & Jazzlynn Cervantez, & Elijah, Cierra & Bryson Villarreal.

Memorial services will be at 10:00am Monday, Nov. 28, 2016

Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors in Wolfforth with burial in Meadow Cemetery.
