Manuela Lara of Ropesville, Tx was born June 16, 1924 in Anderson, TX to Rosario and Juanita Briyones Lara. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved taking care of children, reading the bible and cooking. She prayed for everyone daily by name. She married Vicente Lara, Sr. April 17, 1946 in Hearne, TX. He passed away May 18, 1991. Her son: Delfino Lara (1983) and her sister: Fidencia Lara preceded her in death (Oct. 14, 2012).

Manuela went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her home at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 9 days.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Vicente Lara, Jr. (Rachel) of Levelland, Abram Lara (Virginia) of Lubbock, Rosario Lara of Levelland, Atanasio Lara of Ropesville, Mary Sanchez (Tommy) of Brownfield, and Antonio Lara (Esperaza) of Wolfforth.; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

The wake will begin at 6:30pm Tuesday, July 28, 2015 with the Rosary to follow at 7:30pm at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Services will be at 11:00 Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Ropesville with Mingo Ibarra officiating. . Burial will follow at the Ropesville Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth. Pallbearers will be Christopher, Kendle, Damion, Delfino, Nathan, Michael, Anthony, Eric, Ray, Christopher, and Steven Lara, along with Noah Rodriguez.
