Lydia Mendoza, 62, of Post & Wilson, Texas was born October 7, 1948 in Lubbock to Pablo Mata Mendoza and Trinidad (Aguirre) Mendoza. She worked at Farmers Coop for several years. She had 2 donkeys, 2 horses, and raised 50 chickens. She loved to fish, camp and have family cook outs.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years: Roman Lucio of Wilson; her mother: Trinidad Mendoza of Lubbock; 6 children: Pablo Mendoza of Post, Christina (Robert) Benavidez of San Angelo, Miguel (Josie) Mendoza of Lubbock, Teresa (Cesar) Garcia of Ft. Worth, Rebeca (Chris) Gonzalez of Lubbock, and Richard Paul Gonzales (Angelica) of Wilson; 4 Brothers: Ramon (Connie), John (Gloria), Rudy (Mary), and Joe (Rosalinda) Mendoza all of Lubbock; 2 sisters: Minnie (Pete) Martinez and Mary Mendoza both of Lubbock; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 3:00pm Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Pathway to the Cross Church in Lubbock. Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors in Wolfforth
