Lonnie "Lou" Lewis of Lubbock was born April 25, 1949 in Amarillo, TX to Alton and Emma (White) Lewis. He married Judy Deaton, December 11, 1982 in Lubbock. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran from 1969 to 1979. Lonnie graduated from Lubbock High School. He worked at the Lubbock State Supported Living Center for over 37 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Judy and riding motorcycles. Lonnie worked concessions at Jones Stadium and Lowery Field and was also in the Jacees for several years.
Lonnie went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the age of 68 years, 4 months & 12 days. His mom & dad, Emma and Alton Lewis and his brother, Ronnie Lewis all preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 34 years, Judy Lewis, step-daughter: Michelle & husband Adam; 3 step-grandchildren: Katie, Tanner, & Amy; his sister: Sue McWilliams; 4 nephews & a niece: Mark, Todd, Chris, Jeff, and Michelle; sister-in-laws & brother-in-laws: Jody Lewis, Lynn and husband Bart, and Gary; 2 great-nephews: Levi & Gavin; his four fur babies: Missy, Toby, Cotton, & Grayd.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7pm Tuesday Sept. 12, 2017 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors, 920 Hwy 62-82 in Wolfforth. Services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Lubbock State Supported Living Center Chapel at 3401 N. University Ave. in Lubbock. Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
