Lola Walker, 97, of Livermore, California and formerly of Lubbock, Texas was born February 6, 1913 in Parker County, TX to Jesse Washington Wade and Nettie (McKnight) Wade. She was a Cook at Furrs Delicatessen & in the Athletic Department at Texas Tech University. She married Fritz Morris Walker on April 5, 1939 in Weatherford, Texas. He passed away August 9, 1991 after 52 years of marriage.

She was a member of Grace Assembly of God. She moved to Lubbock from Weatherford in 1956 and then to Rockdale, Texas. She then moved to Livermore, California in 2001.

Lola passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in Livermore, California.


Those left to cherish her memories are her son: James Kyle and wife Glenda Walker of Rockdale, TX; a daughter: Fritzeen and husband Jay Scott of Livermore, CA; her grandchildren: Timothy and wife Michelle Walker of Kingwood, TX, Daryl Walker of Rockdale, Texas and J.Scott and wife Myrthes Burton of Bronx, NY

Viewing will be from 1 to 2:00pm Saturday, August 21, 2010 followed by a graveside service at 3:00pm at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with Jay Scott officiating.
