Obituary

Leonard Garland Bryan, Jr., 60 of Lubbock was born June 27, 1951 in Littlefield, TX to Leonard Sr. and Nancy Lou (Stephens) Bryan. Leonard departed from this life Wednesday, March 14, 2012.

He married Sue Bankston February 16, 2002 in Lubbock. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Leonard worked for TXDOT for 21 years He was a member of the Cowboy Church of the South Plains and CMA Son Shine Riders #11. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with family.


He is survived by his wife and kids: Sue Bryan of Lubbock, Malisa and husband Keith Long of Wolfforth, Linda and husband Ricky Adams of Big Spring, and Danny and wife Kelcie Smitherman of Lubbock; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and a sister: Martha of Midland.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8pm Friday, March 16, 2012 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel.

Services will be at 10:00am Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Cowboy Church of the South Plains at 114 and Tahoka Hwy with Ray Perryman officiating.

Military graveside services will follow at the Anton Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors. Pallbearers will be Ricky Lawrence, Bryan Davis, Gary Moore, Kyle Heath, Jamey Huskey & Ernie Garcia.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the Cowboy Church of the South Plains at P.O. Box 682, Wolfforth, TX 79382, or to CMA Son Shine Riders #11, c/o Larry Viaille, 2434 24th St., Lubbock, TX 79411.
