Lavonne Banks, 66, of Lubbock was born January 8, 1942 in Bakerfield,
CA. to James & Rebecca (Adams) Hanks. She married J.B. Banks, Dec. 15, 1959 in Lubbock. He passed away June 12, 2007. Her parents, a brother: Dwayne Hanks & a sister, Shirley Harrison also preceded her in death.
Lavonne passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008.
She is survived by her children: Brenda Carnes of Ponca City, OK, Rodrick Banks, James Banks, Dwayna Brown & Deanna Milligan all of Lubbock & Michael Banks of Ponca City, OK; a sister: Virginia Fry of Lubbock, 13 Grandchildren & 4 Great-Grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel with Bruce Cotton of Hospice of Lubbock officiating. Burial will be at the Wolfforth Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
