Laura Lea Goolsby, 68, of Lubbock was born August 7, 1957 in Hobbs, NM to Don Goolsby & Mary (Turner) Goolsby. She graduated from Monterey High School in 1975. Laura Lea was a member of the Patriot Guards.

Laura Lea went to be with the Lord May 13, 2026. Her parents: Don and Mary Goolsby, daughter: Mary Leann Goolsby (3-18-2014), sister: Donna Jean Spafford (3-21-2020), niece: Gina Gayle Mannino and brother: James Donald Goolsby, Jr. were all waiting at Heaven’s gate for her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her best friend and companion: Mark Howle, her son: Walter D. DeRidder, 2 brothers: John Goolsby & Bobby Goolsby and his wife Glynda, 2 nephews: Robert Feasel (Susan) & Jeremy Feasel, along with a host of friends.

Celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the Anointed Word Family Church at 2408 74th St., Lubbock, TX 79423 with Pastor Randy Daniel officiating.
