Larry Wayne McCleskey, 62, of Wolfforth was born December 24, 1955 in Lubbock to Wayne & Garnie (Seymour) McCleskey. He was a mechanic for MTS for several years before retiring in 2016. He married Sherry Milam Nov. 7, 1976 in Lubbock. She passed away June 21, 2016 after 40 years of marriage. Larry enjoyed going to Brownwood lake, spending time with his family, & going to the racetrack to watch his son Michael race. He also enjoyed bowling and getting a high score of 298 and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Larry went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 17, 2018. His father and wife preceded him in death. A granddaughter, Tierra and a great-granddaughter also preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother: Garnie McCleskey; 3 children: Kyle & wife Brandy, Michael & wife Jennifer and Melinda Dechant and husband Chris; his sister Marilyn Bradley and husband Jimmy; 11 grandchildren: William, Stormie, Makaela, Dylan, Auvri, Caitlyn, Anyssa, Ryan, Alizabeth, Megan, & Tyler; brother-in-law: Gary & wife Mary Milam; sister-in-law: Janet & Benny Ortega; several nieces & nephews; and several great-nieces & nephews; Uncle Mickey And wife Sherry Seymour, Aunt Yvonne and husband Chuck Rohr.


The family will greet friends from 5 to 7:00pm Friday April 20, 2018 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Services will be at 11:00am Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the same chapel with Tom Lakey of First Assembly of God Church officiating.   Entombment will be in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
