Kenneth J. Callaway, 89, of Lubbock was born December 18, 1932 in Munday, TX to Cecil Chester Callaway & Stella Lavisa Smith-Callaway.  He worked in the Propane Business for most of his work life, beginning at Plains LP Gas in Brownfield.  After moving to Lubbock in 1967 he worked as the Service Manager and eventually as Vice President of Horkey Oil Company.  He then owned and operated Callaway LP Gas until his retirement.  He was a United States Army Veteran  and served as a morse code operator in Germany during the Korean war.    He married Linda Carol Perkins April of 1992 in Lubbock.  She passed away Oct. 11, 2020 after 28 years of marriage.

Kenneth went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 17, 2022.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Lisa Brown (Feb. 11, 2022) and granddaughter Jennifer Lawrence (April 23, 2022), 3 brothers: Chester Wayne, Narval Matthew, & Larry Mack and a sister Nancy Jo Meil.

Those left to cherish his memories are his 3 children: Dianna Howell & husband Mike of Shawnee, Ok, Greg Callaway & wife Patsy of Friendswood, TX, and Travis Callaway & wife Jaynel of Lubbock, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, 1 sister: Cecilia Franks of Brownfield and son-in-law: Warren Thompson, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00am Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Church on the Rock, Youth Bldg,  10503 Slide Rd, Lubbock, TX with Mark McMillan officiating.

Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
