Katy Maxine Patton, 74, of Lubbock was born December 5, 1938 in Plainview, TX to Henry and Lillian (Readhimer) Grice. She worked at Goodart Candy Company for 20 plus years. She married James Lee Patton December 18, 1954 in Clovis, NM. She loved her family and kept her children together. She loved telling stories to her grandchildren and never met a stranger.

Katy went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 5, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: Eldon Gray, sister Martha Grice and a grandson: Charles Hruza.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son: Lee Shane Patton; 5 daughters: Katrina Hruza (Duwayne), Tawnya Castro (Curtis), Tamra Rene, Lisa, and Kim Patton; 5 grandchildren: Joshua, Sara, and Alicia Hruza, Sawnya Castro, and Rachel Burge (Brad), whom she raised; 2 great-grandchildren: Makayla Payne and Zachary Burge.
