Juana "Nannie" Flora Ground, 78, of Lubbock was born November 24, 1943 in Paducah, TX to Sylvester & Aurelia (Garcia) Davila. She married Roland Kenneth Ground Jan. 2, 1964 in Bexar County, TX. Juana was a retired United States Army Veteran. She was a retired LVN at Covenant Medical Center, formerly St. Mary's Hospital. She also helped at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church setting up the church and the altar. Nannie was the best great-grandmother. She was proud of her Native American Heritage.
Nannie passed away Thursday February 24, 2022 reuniting with her parents, Papaw (husband), & 2 brothers: Ygnacio & Armando Davila.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter: Melissa Ground, 4 grandchildren: Henry Ricky Rodriguez, Jr., Steven Jeff Rodriguez, Michael Kenneth Rodriguez, & Vanessa Ann Rodriguez, 8 great-grandchildren: Angelo Elaijah Rodriguez, Dante, Gennady, Stevie, Everly, Xavier, Xander, & Daisy Rodriguez, 5 siblings: Manuel, Jesse, Domingo, & Sylvester Davila and Lupe Cuevas.
Viewing for Nannie will be at her home at 3001 Fordham St. in Lubbock from 3:00pm Saturday, February 26, 2022 through Monday February 28, 2022. Military graveside services will be at 10:00am Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
