Jose "Joey" Chavez, 51, of Wolfforth was born February 5, 1969 in Lubbock to Francisco Santos & Maria DeJesus Tapia Chavez.  Joey enjoyed listening to Tejano music, auto body mechanics and spending time with his family.  Joey was a father figure to his nieces and nephews.

Joey went to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 16, 2020.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Valentino Chavez, and an infant sister: Hope Tello.

Those left to cherish his memories are his 8 siblings: Paula Chavez, Ernestina Villarreal, Teodora Chavez, Bertha Hernandez, Christina Chavez, Nick Tello & wife Yolanda, Susana Tello & husband Daniel, and Caroline Zamora along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The Rosary will be at 7:00pm Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth for the immediate family only.  Graveside services will be at 10:00am Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the Wolfforth Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
