Jorge Gonzalo Urquidi, 74, of Lubbock was born January 20, 1949 in La Paz, Bolivia to Alfonso Urquidi & Maria Vacaflor.  He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam during the Vietnam war.  He worked at banks for several years and was the fraud department manager at the bank.  He enjoyed painting and playing Keno at the casinos.  Jorge was very memorable, so sweet, and he never met a stranger.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, & great grandkids.

He passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023.  His parents and 2 brothers: Jimmy & Tito Urquidi preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his 2 children: Mindy & husband Victor Cuevas of Wolfforth, TX & Patrick Urquidi and partner Carly of Henderson, Nevada, 4 grandchildren: Curtis & wife Samantha, Marcus, Brooke, & Aiden, 5 great-grandchildren: Ayden, Alissa, Athena, Aaliyah, Aydrian, his brother: Julio Urquidi of Los Angelas, CA, along with several nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews.

Services will be scheduled at a later date.  Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
