John David Goolsby

John David Goolsby, 59, of Lubbock was born April 10, 1967 in Lubbock to James Donald Goolsby, Sr. and Mary Martha Turner-Goolsby. He graduated from Frenship High School. He worked in construction, putting up metal buildings. He enjoyed watching the NASCAR races.

John went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

His parents: James Goolsby, Sr. & Mary Goolsby, 2 sisters: Donna Spafford & Laura Lea Goolsby, a brother: James Goolsby, and 2 nieces: Gina Gayle Goolsby and Leann Goolsby all were waiting at Heaven’s gate for him.

Those left to cherish his memories are his best friend: Mark Howle, his brother: Bobby Goolsby and wife Glynda, a niece: Sheila Hair (Kyle), 4 nephews: Bobby Goolsby, Jr., & Walter D. Deridder (Brittany Rod), Robert Feasel (Susan), Jeremy Feasel, great nephews & nieces: Bryson Hair, Brianna Hair, Ashley Hill, Bret Goolsby (Naomi), and Amber Goolsby (Donnie), and a great-great niece: Averi Hill.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation is under the care of Wilsons’ Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
