Joseph "Joe" William Nelson, Jr., 66, of Lubbock was born April 12, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph Nelson, Sr. and Jane (Whelan) Nelson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He loved fast cars, fast bikes and fast women.
Joe passed away Monday, June 20, 2011.
He is survived by 2 sons: Jody Nelson and Terry Edge both of Lubbock; 2 Daughters: Tammy Sewell of Wolfforth and Shawna Daniel of Lubbock; 1 Sister: Laura Dionisio of New Jersey; 10 Grandchildren: Tanner, Tyler, Zach, Bryce, Cassie, Bryan, Alyssa, Michael, Wyatt and Abby.
Services will be at 2:00pm Friday, June 24, 2011 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with Rev. Terry Jones officiating.
Viewing will begin at 9:00am on Friday.
Military graveside services will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
