Jimmie Doyle Upchurch, 80, of Lubbock was born March 14, 1943 in Lubbock, Tx to Hershel Buck Upchurch & Pearlene (Duggan) Upchurch.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He married Abbie Jean Williams March 7, 1969 at 7pm Sharp in Ft. Worth, Texas. Abbie went to be with the Lord April 21, 2023 after 54 years of marriage. Jimmie worked in construction for many years. He enjoyed golf, making candles, Papa seasoning &  drawing.  But most of all he enjoyed spending time with all his family and friends.

Jimmie went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 14, 2023. Those waiting at Heaven's gate for Jimmie are his parents, his wife, & 2 daughters.

Those left to cherish his memories are his 5 children:  Charlie Richardson & wife Sarah, Jimmie Doyle Upchurch, Jr., Darla Upchurch & Lin Davis, Joyce Prichett & husband Clay, and Amanda Johnston & husband Les, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, & 2 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Hershel Upchurch, Jr., and Johnny Upchurch, along with his sister: Doris Eldredge.

Military services will be at 11:00am Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with Junior Vasquez officiating.  Services are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
