Janie Crabb Mandrell, of Lubbock, was born January 29, 1931 in Sudan to Morgan and Opal (White) Crabb. She was a homemaker and loved to read, work word puzzles, sew and make baby quilts. She married Vernon Mandrell. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

She passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the age of 80 years and 14 days.

Her husband, 2 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death.

Janie is survived by her son: Chetty (Gay) McGee of Mansfield
2 daughters: Linda (Charlie) Nelson and Nancy (Raymond) Edge both of Lubbock
Her sister: Bettye (A.B.) Barker of Lubbock;
A special family friend, Webb Samples
6 Grandchildren: Steven, Sherri, Misty, Jay, Amanda, and Trey, and
11 Great-Grandchildren

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, Feb 15, 2011 at Wolfforth Cemetery with Webb Samples officiating. Burial is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
