James Farrell Hammett, 84, of Yuma, Arizona and formerly of Wolfforth was born December 27, 1934 in Formosa, Arkansas to the late Jack and Ruth (Andrews) Hammett. He married Ruth Pruett October 20, 1959 in Wolfforth. She passed away February 28, 1997.  James retired from the United States Air Force.  He enjoyed traveling.

James passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019. His parents, wife, 2 sons: Alvin Wesley Page, Jimmy Ray Page, and 3 sisters: Charlene Overfelt, Sondra Lorenz, and Georgia Ann Murphey all preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his 3 sons: Charles Wayne Page, Michael Alan Page, and William Farrell Hammett; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a sister: Carolyn Sue Lann.

Viewing will begin at 10:00am Monday September 23, 2019 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Services will follow at 1:00pm Monday in the same chapel with Mike McCreight officiating. Entombment will be in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth
