James Roy Gray "Papa", 82, of Wolfforth was born March 10, 1942 in Lubbock to Raymond Laphonzo Gray & Mineola Jones- Gray.  He married Margaret Guevara on June 12, 1987 in Reno, Nevada.  He retired from being an electrical technician in 2004.  He enjoyed woodwork and refurbishing furniture. His family & friends commented "There isn't anything Papa can't fix!!"  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, and he also raced and won trophies.  After retirement he and his family went on a Caribbean Cruise.  He enjoyed having coffee with his friends every week, but most of all he loved being with his wife & family along with his grandbabies and great grandbabies.

James went to be with the Lord on Friday December 6, 2024.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 37 years whom he doted on all the time: Margaret Gray, 6 children: Gordon Emery Gray, James Tucker Gray, Jesse Benjamin Gray (Meagan), Jose Valles (Ariane), Michele Valles, & Cruz Lopez (Victor), 14 grandchildren: Jason, Christine, Alayna, Aiden, Johnathan, Gabriel, Michael, Keone, Sarah, Alison, Adonna, Yanina, Enrique, & Tanya, numerous great-grandchildren, and his brother Gordon Stewart (Reba) along with a niece and 2 nephews.

Viewing will begin at 10:00am Thursday December 12, 2024, at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.  The service will begin at 11:00am the same day in the chapel with Pastor Adam Pardue of Highland Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow at the Wolfforth Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.

The pallbearers will be Gordon Gray, Tucker Gray,  Jesse Gray, Jose Valles, Victor Lopez, & Zachariah Molina.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Robert Walker
