Jacqueline "Jackie" Yonna Jernigan, 69, of Lubbock was born December 3, 1954 in Los Angelos, CA to R.J. Matheny and Nelda Jean St Clair. She worked as a nurse's aide in nursing homes for several years. Jacqueline was raised by her mother & stepfather: Nelda Jean St.Clair-Blackmon & Stewart E. Blackmon.  In her later years her stepmother: Charlotte Blackmon took care of her.

Jackie went to be with the Lord Thursday June 20, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her father: R.J. Matheny, her mom: Nelda Jean St Clair-Blackmon, and her stepfather: Stewart E. Blackmon.

Those left to cherish her memories are her stepmother: Charlotte Blackmon, 3 stepbrothers: Mike Blackmon, Mark Crawford & wife Susie, & Charles Crawford, her uncle & aunt: Milton & Audrie Blackmon and 2 daughters: Melissa & Heather Jernigan, and a son: Jeff Jernigan & his wife Nancy, along with 7 grandchildren.

Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.  A private burial will be at Lamesa, Dawson County, Cemetery in Lamesa, TX.
