She married W.J. "Dub" Caudle August 10, 1946 in Plainview. He passed away January 9, 2007 after 60 years of marriage. She was a housewife & mother for years. She went to work in Food Service for Lubbock schools after the youngest was in high school. Also we lived 3 houses from the elementary school, so we were able to walk home during lunch & she would feed us before we went back to school. After her children were grown, she started painting pictures & we have many pictures she has painted. Irene enjoyed sewing, making clothes, & playing 42. She was a very talented pianist and played piano for Iglesia Bautista Monte Olivo.
Irene went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Her parents, husband, and 3 siblings: Allen Evans, Winnie Fleming, and Betty McGary were all waiting for her at Heaven's gate.
