Horace Arnold Durham, 74, of Pecan Gap passed away Friday, January 9 at his home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 11 in the First Baptist Church of Pecan Gap. Rev Kenneth Coats of Plainview will be officiating. Entombment services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 12 in the Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery in Wolfforth
Mr. Durham was born in New Deal on January 23, 1934, the son of Sam Arnold Durham and Azilee Sinclair Durham. He was a farmer and rancher, a resident of Pecan Gap since 1968, a member of the Farm Bureau for 35 years, a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Pecan Gap for over 40 years, a member of the Wolfforth Lions Club for several years, and a member of the Masonic Bethel Lodge of Ladonia. He worked for the soil conservation office for several years.
In February 1958, he married Peggy Reid. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Peggy Lynet Durham on December 18, 1964.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Durham of Pecan Gap and a sister, Johnnye Smith of Midland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Association.
