Homer Allen
Taylor
May 13, 1935 – June 27, 2025
"If you live each day as if it were your last, someday you will most certainly be right."
Homer Allen Taylor passed away peacefully in his sleep June 27,2025–about a month after his ninetieth birthday.
He was a man who deeply mourned the loss of his wife and for twenty-one years he never let a day go by without mentioning her name.
Some knew our dad as a published author.
Some knew him as a Customs Patrol Officer who managed to seize more drugs on horseback than any member of the DEA at a time when bales of cocaine washed ashore daily up and down the Florida coastline.
It's a testimony of character that with every passing year he became kinder and wiser until becoming the embodiment of love.
His final words were beautiful. He told his daughter Jana he could see the light in her eyes and then forever closed his own.
Homer Allen Taylor you will be sorely missed by everyone lucky enough to have known you, especially your family.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM CDT Sunday, July 6, 2025 at the Loop Cemetery in Loop, Texas with Pastor Jerry Bingham of Loop Baptist Church officiating.
Services are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth, TX.
